What is your Best iPhone Productivity App for 2008?

The 2008 Best App Ever awards started yesterday and run through to the 6th of January.

Starting December 31st, 2008 we’ll take the 5 top nominations in each category and add 5 nominations from our list of iPhone bloggers, developers, and general web-celebrities for each category to come up with 10 nominated apps for each category. In addition, the 10 apps that get the most votes across all categories will compete for the title of Best App Ever. Please come back and vote for your favorite app in each category.

You have the chance to vote for your best ever iPhone apps of 2008. There is a category for the best ever Productivity Enhancer Application for 2008. The choices are:

  • Things
  • reQall
  • eWallet
  • OmniFocus
  • Grocery iQ
  • Evernote
  • Remember The Milk
  • Todo
  • LDA People
  • Smart Dialler

I have voted already, and those who read this blog will know the iPhone app that I chose, although there was a close second place as well.

Also, check out the category of Best Productivity Killer and see how many of these you have installed on your iPhone 🙂 I have one of these installed, the Facebook app.

    @Mindy Koch:

    I am a real lover of OmniFocus but must admit that I have to retry Things as it was a very early copy that I played with.

    Thanks for the comment.

    @Swaroop:

    Not looked at Frontpocket but I do not use Backpack. I am eagerly awaiting the release of Outpostapp as I am a big time Basecamp user for my works projects.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Hi – I have been hunting for a GTD app that does not use a cloud based or website to store information but sync’s to the microsoft PC (not MAC) and by research only it has been fairly difficult to identify the apps that do and dont use this approach. It would be useful to categorise the list please.

    In Australia we PAY for each MB of Download and our 3G network is not always reliable outside of the City – this is the key motivator for keeping off web based… I dont need collaboration just GTD for me.

    Any suggestions please …..

    @Ginny:

    Hi Ginny, have you seen Fusion Desk? This is a Windows app that I am about to review on this site. I also used to use PlanPlus from Franklin Covey back in the days before I switched to the Mac.

    Thanks for the comment..

    Just a diary. All the previous phone I had never really had a decent diary. The one you get on iphone is easy to use so I started using it.

    I’m surprised jott.com is not on here. This is what I used on a daily basis, although it will stop being free on the iphone starting Feb 2nd.

    You may have tried and found many todo apps on the App Store either too simple to be useful or too long-winded where it takes years to add tasks and appointments. You don’t want your to-do app to actually take away your time that could have been spent actually getting things done.

    Check out Todew if you want an app that neither tries to do too much nor too little.

    You should check out myPocketProf! Its the only app that allows you to copy and paste your course notes to your myPocketProf account and view your notes locally. Upload files and share them also! Share any course note, hierarchy of notes that you want.

    Copy and paste websites and view them when you’ve got time on the metro or train whilst travelling to work or college.

    When you’re done, you can sell your course notes. Its all free.

    Create quizzes, online courses and sell them to other students.
