Cannot believe how fast Christmas is approaching. Today we have put our Christmas decorations up and had a great day doing it. I hope you all are in the festive spirit!

Here are my collection of links for this week.

My first link for this week is to a great list of 50 Tips for Improving Productivity from the Business Pundit blog. I do love these types of lists and there is some great info to be had here on this one.

My second link is to a great post about how Scrivener Might Change Your Life. I love Scrivener and have been using it for a couple of years for nearly everything that I write.

My third link is to a post looking if Mind Mapping Helps You Cultivate a Mindset of Abundance?. I sure do love Mind Mapping myself and have written a lot on this blog about Mind Mapping.

My fourth link is a link to a post from MacSparky about Adding Tasks to OmniFocus with E-Mail. I have been a fan of the MacSparky blog for a while and the Mac Power Users podcast is a must for any Mac power user.

My fifth and last link is to the last part of a 14 part series from the Simple Dollar where they are discussing the Getting Things Done book by David Allen. This fourteenth installment is titled Getting Things Done: Five Key Things. This is an excellent series and well worth the time investment.

Hope you all have a great week ahead!

Just returned from three days at Legoland Windsor with my family.

This marks the end of my summer vacations. My children go back to school at the end of this week and my twins start school a week Monday so exciting times ahead.

Got to get my head down this week. Spent a great few days planning and mind mapping last week and this week is about getting all of my projects back in control after my summer breaks.

Here are my collection of links for this week.

My first link for this week is to a great post about Getting Things Done from Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.com. This is a short blog post and a short podcast that Darren recorded whilst going for a walk, now that is multi tasking at its best!

My second link is a post titled 5 Common Misconceptions about Evernote. This post looks at the Evernote application and answers some common questions about the apps usage.

My third link is to a post that looks at 7 Reasons Why I Love OmniFocus. I use OmniFocus on my Mac, iPhone and iPad to run my life and this brief post covers why the post author also loves OmniFocus.

My fourth link is a link to a review of MindMeister: A Sturdy Mind Mapper With a Route to the Cloud. MindMeister is an App that I have covered many times in this blog and is the best cloud based Mind Mapping application in my opinion.

My fifth and last link is to part 11 of a 14 part series from the Simple Dollar where they are discussing the Getting Things Done book by David Allen. This tenth installment is titled Getting Things Done: The Power of the Collection Habit. This is an excellent series and well worth the time investment.

At long last, my prayers are answered and MindJet have today launched their Mind Mapping application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

I am a devout MindManager user and have been for years. Over the past few months I have been using MindMeister more and more, mainly because of the rather cool ability to syn between their awesome web app and the iPhone Application.

I have just purchased and downloaded the MindJet Mind Manager application.

My initial thoughts are mixed. The layout and look of the application is great. I must admit that I am not so sure on the way you enter topics. You jump from the main window to a separate entry window where the details are entered for each topic. Do I prefer the much simpler on screen method as used by MindMeister and iBlueSky?

There are a lot more bells and whistles in this app over the competition. But, I normally use the iPhone as a capturing device where my Mind Maps are very basic, just capturing the key concepts. I normally refine the Mind Map at a later date on my Mac.

The transfer/sync ability is definitely not up to the same standard as MindMeister. It would be great to see the ability to sync my Mind Maps with the desktop version of Mind Manager but I am sure this will be out in a later release.

Here is a little video published by MindJet.

Mindjet for iPhone from Mindjet on Vimeo.

I know this is the first release of the software and I hope it will improve because I really do want to be able to use this and get the most out of this application.

I will be putting this through its paces over the next few days and I will return back with a more in depth review.

Looking forward to hearing any comments that you may have.

Regular readers of this blog will know that I am a huge fan of Mind Mapping and the tool I use is the Mac version of MindManager from MindJet.

I do wish the Mac version had some of the cool functionality of the Windows version but still, the main aspect of being able to create awesome Mind Maps is there in the Mac version.

In my opinion, MindJet have really raised their game, especially since Michael Deutch (a regular reader of this blog) has joined the team and started writing for the blog.

I recently received an email from MindJet that provided a summary of some of their recent productivity and GTD activity via their blog and website. It is that good that I decided to repeat some of these great links here for the benefit of my blog readers.

So, here is the list of MindJet links to check out:

Hope you all have had a great week. I passed my exam last Monday that I had been studying hard for over the past few weeks. I made some great Mind Maps that sure did help with the retention of information.

I must write more about my experiences with Mind Mapping as they help me with so many aspects of my life.

Here are my collection of links for this week.

My first link for this week is a another great post from the MindJet Blog about Getting Projects Done. This post looks at using Mind Manager 8, Google Docs, and Basecamp to streamline your project process. These great posts keep on coming out of Michael Deutch, well done!

My second link is a link to a post outlining 69 Great OS X Time Savers. Being a Mac User and somebody who loves saving time I found this a great little list. I do most of the items on the list but I did pick up a few new tips.

My third link is a link to a nice little post about Ubiquitous Capture with regards to GTD. I have written a few posts myself on Ubiquitous Capture as they in my opinion, are a key to success with GTD

My fourth link is a link to a nice little post about Mind Mapping and GTD. This is from a blogger who luckily attended a Making it All Work seminar in Amsterdam.

My fifth and last link for this week is an Introduction to GTD for Fashion People from the Ann Ching Wang blog. Nice read from somebody with a different perspective.

I attended another Northern UK Bloggers meetup on Friday. Another great meeting and great to share ideas and thoughts with fellow bloggers.

Wishing you all a productive week, as always!

Well, one month down in 2009 already. Hope your year is working out well.

I have been bashing the @Home context again this weekend removing the tiles from our bathroom in preparation for a tiler to arrive next week. Need a well earned break in front of my computer tonight to catch up on what I have missed this weekend.

Here are my collection of links for this week.

My first link for this week is a post by Michael Deutch from the MindJet Blog titled Making it all Work with MindManager Michael is a regular reader and commenter on this blog and it is great to see such a great GTD post on the MindJet blog.

My second link is a link to the Zen Habits post on How to Get Things Done with Twitter. I have been using Twitter for quite a while now and must admit that sometimes it can be counter productive and quite a distraction. This post shows you how to use Twitter productively and in my opinion it is a must read for all users of Twitter.

My third link is a link to a different take on GMail GTD from Neil Dixon. First time I have linked to this blog and it is a good read. Neil provides some good information if Gmail is the mail system that you use.

My fourth link is a link to 10 Productivity Tips for Road Warriors courtesy of Ian’s Messy Desk. I can spend quite a few days away from the office on road trips so I can see the benefit of the information presented in this post. Carrying a portable document wallet system is a great one for me. All the business receipts go into their correct folders as well as my portable inbox, for any notes or anything else that needs collecting for later processing.

My fifth and last link for this week is a link to a 100 GTD Resources from Mashable. This is the most recent up to date list of GTD resources and applications. There were some new ones on here that I had not heard of. I found out about this through Twitter.

Well, I have got a bit of research and other web work to do before I can call it a day. I am currently listening to a great R&B Spotify Playlist courtesy of Kieron Donoghue. If you have not done already, you must check out Spotify!

Hope you all have a great week.

Deadlines really help you to focus and I am happy to say that I hit another one. Good planning and time allocation are key to working on a writing project with a deadline. I avoid procrastination and start early. There is nothing worse than leaving everything to the last minute, by which time you put yourself under undue pressure!
