Tweaking your OmniFocus Workflow

I provided a link in my last Productivity Links post to the Poder.dk blog covering tweaking your OmniFocus Workflow.

Jens has created a great 15 minute video showing how he uses OmniFocus to Get Things Done. His workflow differs from the way OmniFocus is meant to be used and he does a great job of showing how he has shaped OmniFocus into the application he needs to fit his adaptation of the GTD Methodology.

I think this is another great example of user generated content that can help us all in our journey towards productivity!

What are your thoughts on this video? Do you know of any other videos like this or do you fancy doing one? If so, be sure to contact me and let me know so I can review and promote it!

Thanks,

Great video – thanks for sharing how you do GTD. Its great to see GTD in actual use from another user’s perspective.

I used and taught Covey and Daytimer for many years before reading David Allen’s GTD book and switching to GTD. Its made a significant impact for the good on my business and personal productivity.

And I found an application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. And another app lets me call in tasks to my GTD without any writing or typing, great for those thoughts that hit me while driving.

I’ve written about my experiences with GTD at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com/how-to-gtd/ John

Great video. OmniFocus is a great tool. I’ve tweaked my OmniFocus using Perspectives to cut my data in different ways as well to help me.

Using Perspectives and tweaking my toolbar has helped a lot in making OmniFocus the best GTD tool for me.
